Born and raised in Los Angeles, I’m currently the Director of Craig Krull Gallery in Santa Monica, and I write about contemporary art in California and the American Southwest.

For me, story stems from body and place. My writing traces the connections between people and objects, locations and ideas; favorite topics include the evolution of beauty ideals, feminist artists, and craft histories. My arts journalism has appeared in Southwest Contemporary and Ceramics Now, and my essays and literary reviews have been published in Northwest Review, the Chicago Review of Books, and other journals.

In addition to writing, I’ve worked as a research and communications consultant for organizations both big and small, from Meta to creative start-ups. I studied political communication and art history at the University of Pennsylvania, and have an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of Nevada Reno.
